An Indigenous Manufacturing Company, with headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State, Artdeco Interior and Furniture, has launched a free training programme to empower Youths as part of its contribution to Nation building.
Launched under the aegis of Artdeco Foundation, the programme is strictly designed for the unemployed, low-income earners and the less privileged.
The courses will include Woodwork, Cabinetry, Upholstery, Curtain, Metal Works, Spraying, Interior Design & Decoration. The programme which will run for a period of a year to four is fully free and trainees will also be given free accommodation.
Recall that the company, recently, launched an ultra modern factory and showroom with state of the art machinery and equipment. Speaking at the luncheon to commemorate the one year anniversary of the factory, the Chairman/CEO of the company, Arc. Ayodeji Ogedengbe, said ”It is time for Artdeco as a brand to give back to a community that has given us so much support and patronage over the years.”
Lastly, he said Nigeria will continue to have economic crisis unless we stop being a consumer nation and embark on a massive production. He also harped on the importance of the empowerment programme, saying the trainees, after graduation, will be able to produce, employ people and contribute their quota to our nation’s development.
