A 25yr-old woman, Mercy Onoko Okiemute, has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court on Tuesday 13 March, 2018 for allegedly stealing an ATM card valued N1000 belonging to one Adeboye Cecilia Bolanle and a cash sum of N826,135.
Onoko is faced with a two count charge bordering on conspiracy, felony and theft. Although, the accused person plead not guilty to the two count charge.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Joshua Oladosu started that the accused person and others at large committed the offence between the 11th day of November 2017 and the 13th day of the same month and year, at First City Monument Bank (FCMB) in Osogbo. He further explained that the offence contravenes Section 516, 383(1) and is also contrary to and punishable under Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
The Defense Counsel, Mr Owoeye Oyinkansola applied for bail for the accused person in the most liberal and affordable terms.
However the Magistrate, Mr Tunde Badmus granted the bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties who must be civil servants and provide 3 years tax clearance and affidavits.
