Phoebestar Royalty Schools Holds 1st Inter House Sports

Phoebestar Royalty Schools organized it’s 1st Inter HouseSportst Competition on the 22nd of February, 2018 at the Phoebestar Royalty Schools Sports Arena.  The celebration started with a red carpet event at about 10am in which parents arrived in large numbers. The competition comprised of four houses; Regal(for green), Pearl(for blue), Sceptre(for red) and Treasure(for yellow). The students, house masters and mistresses were all dressed in jerseys that signified their house’s colour.

The students of the school participated in various events including march past, track events by both primary and secondary schools, sack races,  egg races, relay races,  catch the train, etc, with various students from different houses emerging winners. Teachers and parents were also involved as they competed against one another in track races and tug of war.

Various parents showed their utmost delight and satisfaction with the school for successfully introducing the inter-house sport competition and making it a memorable event for everyone. In his own remarks, a parent, Dr Kayode Odouye, stated that he is excited that the school is making progress and that the school has achieved a lot despite being within the private sector.

The P.T.A Chairman, Mr Gbenga Lawal also opined that the school is the best school around and he’s proud to identify with the school.  He further said that the Inter House sports competition is well organized and makes him imagine how beautiful subsequent Inter House sports competitions would be. Other schools were also invited and they participated in relay races with different schools emerging winners.

Dignitaries at the event include the Commander, Nigerian Army Engineering Construction Command, Ede who was the Chief Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Emico Eruwa, Director of the School, Engr. Grp Capt (rtd) Segun Fanu, a PDP governorship aspirant, Dr. Kayode Oduoye, Nollywood actress, Mosun Filani-Oduoye, MD Interfem Construction, Engr. Femi Daramola, Magistrate Bode Salami, amongst others.

Lastly, medals, certificates and trophies were awarded to the winners of various events and Treasure House was crowned the overall winner of the Inter House sports competition
