A former defence chief, General Alani Akinrinade, Governor Rauf Aregbesola and a University of Ibadan politics teacher alongside prominent Nigerians will throng Osogbo, the Osun state capital for a summit on transparency and accountability in governance being organized by a non-governmental organization (NGO), Aboaba Trust Foundation.
The summit, according to a former Head of Service and Secretary to the Government of Osun state and Foundation’s chairman, Elder Olufemi Adelowokan, would focus on culture of service, transparency, probity, accountability and productivity in governance.
This was made known Adelowokan at a press conference on the maiden edition of the lecture in Osogbo. He said the Foundation set up in honour of the first Head of service and Secretary to the Osun State Government who later served as the Managing Director of the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND), Chief Moses Inaolaji Aboaba, would bring back the culture of transparency and accountability in governance if recommendations by various speakers were implemented.
