Osun Recorded 3 Deaths In June – FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun on Friday said that three deaths were recorded from road accidents in the state in June.

Mr Anthony Oko, the FRSC Sector Commander in Osun, disclosed in Osogbo.

Oko said that 13 crashes occurred in the state, leading to the death of three persons during the month under review.

He attributed the causes of the crashes to speeding, poor condition of the roads, as well as failure by motorists to comply with traffic rules and regulations.

The official said that 50 persons were injured in the crashes and 344 traffic offenders booked.

Oko noted that the command sponsored 12 radio and eight television programmes to sensitise motorists on road safety-related matters in June.

The command also issued 380 driving licences to drivers that applied for them during the period.

Oko, however, advised motorists to comply with road safety rules, adding that the commission was committed to securing lives of drivers and commuters on the roads.
