Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) which has been closed for the last eight months due to the industrial action embarked upon by lecturers of the institution, is to be reopened on Friday, the 27th of January.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor A.S. Gbadegesin had confirmed the receipt of N500 million by the governments of Oyo and Osun State.
In a communique issued by the Registrar, Mr J.A. Agboola, the students were expected to resume at the end of the month, precisely on Friday, 27th for their suspended academic work while their examination would hold in February. A copy of the communique obtained by osun.life, reads thus;
“Dear All,
All staff and students are hereby informed that the University will reopen for normal activities on Friday, January 27, 2017.
Students are to note the following for compliance:
Friday, January 27: Resumption
Friday. February 3: Revision week ends
Friday. February 10: Lecture free week ends
Monday. February 13: 2015/2016 Harmattan Semester Examinations begin
All students who are yet to complete their registration are to ensure that they do so and pay their tuition fee during the revision week.
