Septuagenarian, two sexagenarian arraigned for threat to kill, malicious damage

The Magistrate court Osogbo, Osun-State has arraigned a 77-year-old-man and two other for threat to kill one Dr. Adekeye Olaore and damaging his property.

The three accused person namely : Rafiu Kadejo (77yrs), Tafa Oyebode (61yrs)  and Babatunde Tajudeen (66yrs) were arraigned on five count charge.

The prosecutor Mr. Olu Abodunrin said “Babatunde Tajudeen, Tafa Oyebode, Rafiu Kadejo and others now at large sometimes in June, 2016 at about 11:00am at Agunbelewo area Osogbo in Osogbo magisterial district did conspire among themselves to commit felony to wit: willful damage and threat to life.

“They destroyed erected wall value at about 850,000 total value of 853,000 properties of Dr. Adekeye Olaore”

“Also, entered into a landed property of Dr. adekeye Olaore”

“Did threaten to kill one Dr. Adekeye Olaore if he fails to abandon his building and landed properties”

Mr Olu said they committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the criminal code cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002, section 451 6 (I) Vol II laws of the criminal code cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun state of Nigeria 2002, section 81 of the criminal code cap 34. Vol. II laws of Osun- State of Nigeria, section 82 laws of the criminal code cap 34. Vol. II laws of Osun-State of Nigeria and section 86 (1) and (2) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. Law of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the five count charge.

The Magistrate, Mr Olushola Aluko admitted them to bail and adjourn the case till 28 March 2017 for hearing.
