2017: Omisore continues New Year Tradition

The former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has continued his new year tradition of extending hands of fellowship to the sick at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.

Senator Omisore, who has made it an habit of visiting hospital wards to offset medical bills of people who are bedridden or those who’ve been discharged but cannot go home because of owed expenses.

 

The Former Deputy Governor was an early caller at the OAUTHC, he was received by the Chief Medical Director, Prof Victor Adetiloye and other board members. After a brief discussion, he was taken round the wards where he present cash to the patients he met.

Speaking with our correspondent, Professor Adetiloye, described the Former Senator as a philanthropist who should be emulated, “he has been doing this for some time” he said.

Meanwhile, Senator Omisore In his New Year message, has advised both the Federal and State Governments to make the welfare of the citizens paramount in their planning. He emphasised the need for infrastructural development at both state and federal levels, expressing positive feelings on the 30 per cent of the 2017 federal budget dedicated to capital projects.
