A former Senator Mudashiru Hussain, who represented Osun West Senatorial District in the 7th Senate, has explained that Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s creative approach to governance remains the pivot of his success story as the Governor of Osun State.
Husain made this disclosure during a media chat with some correspondents. He said ‘good governance is all about diligence, accountability, responsibility and responsiveness. Ogbeni had displayed all these in the last 6 years of his creative governance, especially in managing the lean resources of the state.”
The Senator said the governor’s creativity is even more evident in the disbursement of the bailout fund given to Osun State government by the federal government. According to Husain, in spite of all the orchestrated media attack against the government of Osun State, Aregbesola stands tall amongst his contemporaries with his numerous laudable achievements as the governor.
The former lawmaker specifically mentioned the Osun school feeding scheme and the Youth empowerment scheme as initiatives that only the Osun State government under Rauf Aregbesola has been able to sustain in the whole country. He also mentioned the successful implementation of the Opon Imo project against all odds. He submitted that the project remains a great achievement.
Husain reassured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC are highly committed to the betterment of Nigeria and would fulfill more of their campaign promises in due cause.
