Parents of a corps member, Miss Ifedolapo Oladepo, who died recently at the NYSC orientation camp in Kano have said that the federal government has not contacted the family or requested to exhume her corpse for autopsy.
They also dismissed the claim by the management of the National Youth Service Corps that the lady died of kidney infection.
The father of the late corps members, Mr Olawale Oladepo called on the investigation panel set up by the President to unravel the real causes of her death.
Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo on Monday, Oladepo attributed the death of her daughter to negligence on the part of the NYSC. He lamented that when her late daughter complained of malaria, the medical personnel at the camp clinic failed to give her prompt medical attention.
He alleged that it was after they had administered some drugs on her some hours later that she developed complications after reacting to the drugs.
Oladepo said: “The NYSC has not written to the family to consider autopsy. Nobody has contacted the family to exhume the corpse.”
He added that autopsy was the last thing until the investigation panel set up by the Presidency submit their report.
