Youth Leader carpets Aregbesola for lateness

A Civil Society’s Youth Leader and Radio Broadcaster, Oderinu Adedayo, has aimed a dig at the governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, who reportedly delayed their meeting by almost 10 hours.

The Youth Leader, Oderinu Adedayo, reacted to the development through a post on his Facebook Account.

He said the youth’s interaction with the governor was slated for 11 am but the governor only showed up around 9:30 pm, making them appear unimportant. He alleged that the governor had claimed the time on the manifest given to him was 3 pm.

Angered by the governor’s disrespect for youths, the leader said such attitude could no longer be condoned by the youths.

“Young people whose futures are inseparably tied to the future of our dear State were left hanging for more than 9 hours just so they could have a tete a tete with the Governor leading a State that they are its future!

“By the time we were attended to, the youths were visibly exhausted, already battered by hunger and frustration; the Governor himself dozed at some points and whatever we were able to have, must not be termed a thorough discussion; we rather should call it a brief see me – I see you,” he lamented.

He however urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to abscond governors and other top notch politicians in the change gospel he has been preaching.

According to him, change does not begin with us now; we were present by 10am for an 11am appointment. Change begins with those leaders who attend to 11am/3pm appointments by 8:30pm!
