An Osogbo magistrate court presided over by Magistrate Falilat Sodamade, has on Thursday, granted one 28 years old Adedamola Olagoke, who was suspected to be a mastermind of the missing two University of Osun State students, Akinduro Robert and Eke Samuel, bail in the sum of 500,000 naira.
Magistrate Falola Sodamade, who gave the order, also requested a surety in the like sum; Two passport photographs of the accused person and the surety; address of the surety, which would be confirmed by the police; a tax clearance certificate and an affidavit of means from the surety.
It will be recalled that, Ademola Olagoke, had been remanded in custody since September 29, following his arrest on September 10, 2016 grounds relating to unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping, which Olagoke pleaded not guilty to.
It will also be recalled that the duo of Akinduro Robert and Eke Samuel, were reported missing on the 5th day of September, 2016 in the Osogbo campus of the above named institution.
The police prosecutor, Mereti Wilson, had told the court that Olagoke, and others now at large unlawfully kidnapped one Akinduro Robert and took him to an unknown destination in such a manner as to prevent any person entitled to have access to him from discovering the place he is imprisoned and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 364(2) of the criminal code cap 34 vol.II of OSUN State of Nigeria 2002.
He also accused Olagoke, of unlawfully kidnapping one Samuel Eke and took him to an unknown destination in such a manner as to prevent him from discovering the place he imprisoned him and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 364(2) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. II laws of Osun-State of Nigeria 2002.
Magistrate Falilat Sodamade, however, adjourned the case till the 30th day of November, 2016 for mentioning.
