42 years old Babatunde Issac, was on Wednesday brought before an Osogbo Magistrate Court over an attempted robbery.
The persecutor, Wilson Mereti, told the court the accused person committed the offence on Sept 6. at about 1:30am at No. 2 Ajagbe, Street, Osogbo.
He also told the court that the accused person conspired with others at large to intimidate the residents of Ajagbe street in an attempt to execute robbery within the area.
Inspector Wilson added that the accused was in procession of dangerous weapons such as Iron Bar, knives among others.
The charge sheet read that the offence committed contravened sections 516 and 403(1)(2)(a)(b) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11 laws of Osun, 2002.
Babatunde Isaac, however pleaded not guilty to the two count charge of attempted robbery and public intimidation levelled against him.
The counsel to the defendant, Mr Okobie Najite, urged the Magistrate to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms
But Magistrate Falilat Sodamade, granted the accused person bail in the sum of N200,000 and one surety in the like sum, adding that the surety must be a resident within the court jurisdiction, with evidence of tax payment and two passport-sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.
The case was adjourned till November, 30 for hearing.
