Theft: Police Arraign two suspects for allegedly stealing handset

The Osun State Police Command has on Tuesday, arraigned two suspects, Omodolapo Iyanuoluwa, 23 years and Mutair Adekola, 30 years, before the Osogbo magistrate court for allegedly stealing an infinix smartphone, worth 27,000 naira.

The accused persons were said to have committed the offence on the 1st of October, 2016 at Akede Iyaloja Area of Oke Baale, Osogbo.

Iyanuoluwa and Adekila, who were alleged to have unlawfully seized one infinix hot handset, pleaded not guilty to the allegations weighed against them.

The charge sheet cited by our correspondent read in part, ” that you and others at large on 1/10/2016 about 1030hrs at Akede Iyaloja area Oke Baale, Osogbo in the magisterial district did steal one infinix hot handset.”

However, Magistrate Olusola Aluko, granted the accused person bail with a condition of 20,000 naira fine each.

The case was adjourned till the 14th day of November, 2016 for hearing on bail compliance.
