Osogbo — Osun State Police Command has recovered three vehicles stolen from different locations in Osun State.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Femi Oyeleye, disclosed this while addressing journalists at the police headquarters in Osogbo.
The recovered vehicles are a Mazda 626 saloon car with registration number AG 746 JJS, a Nissan Almera with registration number FKJ 105 AR and Mazda 626 blue in colour with engine number JMZGG14020119332.
He said that the Nissan Almera was snatched by a gang of armed robbers at Fadugba Estate, located along Ibadan/Akure Expressway, Ilesa, Osun State, on July 7, 2016.
The police chief said that his men from the ‘B’ Division Ilesa recovered the vehicle in Ibadan, Oyo State and has since been handed to the owner.
Oyeleye said that the Mazda was stolen at Olorunsogo Street, Cemetery Area, Osogbo, on July 15, 2016. He said the vehicle was recovered by police from Dugbe Divison, traveling to Modakeke, Ile-Ife. He said the vehicle was released to the owner after proof of ownership.
Another blue Mazda 626 belonging to one Mr Oyerinde Joshua of Odi-Olowo Area, Osogbo, was snatched on July 21, 2016, and was recovered from Oja-Oba Division.
